We know there is a lot of smileys like traditional smileys such as :),^__^. Does it against rules to post stuff like that in our response ? Are the mylot admin observe this as violation or they let it be ? I never used such as phrases in mylot, but sometimes it hard to not add it. It made your responses have more feeling on it..LOL. What do you think ?

It is not against the rules to add traditional
smileys here on Mylot posts . But we should take
care to use more common smileys so that the exact
reason of using that smily would be understood by
all netizens .
I have been observing that LOL has been misused
by many netizens . It is not required at most
posts , yet many use it just as a habit ...

Thank you for responding. I know that not all traditional smileys are common in some netizens, but still they added more feeling for your response.

When we talk to others, we also want to have a friendly expression on our face but as we cannot see each other here, it can help to put in some smiley faces just to make others feel good after they have read our post.
That is my way to try and make others a little bit happier - I think we need it all of us, donĀ“t we..?:o)

I can't say for sure if this is against mylot or not. I've seen a lot of my friends doing that. I only put my smiley when commenting back on my threads. Otherwise, I tried to put my thoughts clearly when responding. This is to make sure that the poster understand what I'm trying to tell them.
