The processor in my desktop (which I'm using now) is Celeron D @ 3.46 GHz.

Celeron D is actually an older one (not even a dual-core). And being from the Celeron family, as opposed to Pentium or Core/Core2, it's surely among the cheaper ones. I don't know how much this one is, though. It came with the system, which was real cheap. That's why I bought it. :P

I have a 1.8ghz processor overclocked to something higher. And it ha 64 bit.
