What is ya'lls favorite time of day to go fishing? We usually go in the morning or later in the afternoon. Yesterday we went out about 2:20 on the boat and came back in around 6:30. There were fish everywhere but nothing was biting at all.
What about ya'll? When is your favorite time to go fishing?

I agree that is a great time to go out. I love having a camera with me to take tons of pics.

I'm not a big fisher but my hubby likes to go out whenever he gets a chance to go out. It really doesn't matter what time it is.
My grandpa on the other hand goes out around 4 or 5am and gets home around 9 or 10am almost every morning even when its freezing cold outside.

It doesn't really matter to me either. LOL Some of my family on the other hand goes out bright and early and stays all day until late at night.

Usually I like to be at the lake before the sun comes up and be fishing by the time the sun starts coming up. It's more peaceful for me that way and there's not a load of people there scaring the fish all willy nilly.
I'm better at fishing from the shore than from a boat. The shore seems luckier for me. Cause I certainly catch a heck of a lot more fish from there, than on a boat. I will go out on a boat occasionally, but it's not my favorite option.

I too have better luck from the shore. I really just like going out on the boat so I can get a tan.

Any time of the day is fine with me to go fishing. Whenever we go camping, I just pick up my pole and bait and take off whenever I feel like fishing. If I could only get my daughter to bait her own hook and then take her own fish off, I would be happy. lol Memorial weekend we went camping and she went off to fish and would come back with a bluegill for me to take off and rebait her hook and off she would go again. -rolls eyes- lol

We live on the sea so we have to fish with the tides. If we fish on a high tide, we are a lot less likely to get snags. I like fishing in August and September, when the mackarel are running.
