My friend ordered me the basic 1-2-3 kit of Proactiv and I have read reviews that the product is very drying and is not effective. I tried that refining mask and it smells HORRIBLE. What are your experiences with this product?

I've tried Proactiv once, the 60 day kit.In my case, it didn't work. I followed the instructions but up to the last day, I still have pimples. The refining mask really smell that way because it contains sulfur which is odorous.Aside from being expensive, it is time consuming ritual. It say is good for all skin types but my face becomes more oily after using it. I have to consult my dermatologist again to lessen the bumps on my face.

I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone. I do all three steps everyday morning and night. It works very well and I use to have bad breakouts all the time. I have had so many people comment on my skin. Now my 18 year old son uses it and loves it too.

I have never used it but I do believe that it works. After all isn't the commercial that promotes the stuff done by celebrities themselves? I think that they would be honest enough about it after all it doesn't show very flattering pics of how they looked before. If I needed it it would probably be something I would try.

My boyfriend bought it for me last year. I have not used it all up. I found that it dried my skin out a lot, really bad so I called the hot line and she told me not to put the repairing lotion all over my face, to just put it on the blemishes and to see if that would help. I just didn't use it anymore because my face felt like sandpaper but I have really fair sensitive skin so i think that is why. I heard that there going to be having a new one out for sensitive skin so i might try it. i have heard from people that they swear by it and it didn't have that affect on them. so I think you should try it, it might really work for you and if not just stop using it.

I could not afford it. One time, I was at a family reunion and I felt isolated. I went to use the bathroom in the basement of the house, and came upon proactiv. I tried it once, and my skin seemed to clear up somewhat. But I didn't get to use it continually. By the way, my skin isn't very sensitive, as far as I know. I have tried to bid for kits on ebay for a decent price, but I have always been outbid by people willing to spend too much for the product. Does it really work? I would like to know that! If it is expensive just because of the hype, then that is very sad and usual.
