Free or Paid Psychic Readings?

To often in the Psychic, and the Divination communities, We often Run into the topic of If it is Right to Charge for a Psychic Reading or if it is not Right to charge?
I have met many Readers who charge for different ways. My own conclusion of the matter, Is I see it as a Spiritual job or occupation, and like any other job or occupation. Different Traditions have different requirements for different reasons.
Many Charge as they do their Spirit work as a full time occupation. Others live off gives and donations, and do Spirit work as a partime job.
Others do other jobs and do Readings and Divinations for free or as a hobby.
I believe all of the above are right to do.
However, For those who free is better to do so for free or for pay. I would like to read everyone's Pro-s and Con-s as to why they believe they are for or against either Paid or Free Readings.
Please do not turn this into a bashing session either toward or against either Free or Paid readers, or psychics, spirit workers, divination workers, in general.

Hello! I was reading palms before just for fun but it seems that everything I have read were happening. I didn't study palm reading but it seems that I have the gift of reading it. I do it for free. Im reading the palms during tuesday and friday only. I have also took the Tickle Examinations to determine if I have the gift of mental telepathy and I passed said examinations and have more scores on seeing the things in the future. I wanted to discover more about this gifts of mine. For me, it's not bad to know our future, at least if there are things which are not good, we can still pray to God to save us from any of the misfortunes that is going to happen. The result of the readings will draw us more closer to God. God is the author of our lives. WITHOUT HIM in our lives, we are nothing.

I don't believe there's anything inherently wrong with charging for readings. This is an individual and case by case kind of thing. If someone has a gift and needs to make a living then why not charge? If someone is financially stable enough and has it in their heart to simply help others where they can then I think it would certainly be the kind thing to do it for free or allow people to give donations as they're able. No one should be criticized for their choice though as we all give as much as we're able to in various ways and no one can judge what another has given or not or the value of it.

It is like any other business out there. I accept the Freedom of Choice. The Choice for Readers to choose to charge or not to charge, and the choice for people searching for one to go to pay or not to pay.

Hi dnatureoftrain! I believe that a psychics or spirit workers have the right to charge for psychic readings because some people do readings for a living and have to be able to support their familes, however I believe that being able to see anothers path before that person can is a great gift that alot people do not have and it is a gift for a reason. I believe if someon who is in danger, harm or dying they should be charged for a reading. I feel like if you can help someone save their life from possible harm if they take another path than help them if not that would have to be hard if that person took the wrong path and you knew that you could have warned them.
I often wish I were more spiritual are had more insight of my day to life and had close connection with the spirit world to help or heal others. I do not think I would charge alot of money or anything if possible.
