Interests - how many

How many interests do you list under your profile? When you respond to a discussion and it's in a different interest that you don't have do you add it to your list? I don't add every one because I think it'll get out of hand. All of a sudden you'll tons of interests. Then they're not really "your" interests anymore. Unless I post in a certain interest a few times I generally don't add it to my list.

I have eight right now and I've only been around for a few days. I think you have a good point that adding the interest for every discussion that happens catch your interest. Mine went up quickly because I went out of my way when I first joined to find a few things in which I really *was* interested!
When I browse through the most recent and most popular discussions, I only add the interest if it really is something I want to read and write more about. Then again, if I'm interested in the discussion I can still see it on the list of discussions I've responded to and can follow the related links at the bottom for more options.

That's exactly what I do. If I want to keep reading I look under discussions I've responded too!
