Anyone else out there who doesn't really believe in marriage?

I used to be so desperate to get married. But now that I am, I don't think it's what I really want.
I don't like having to answer to anyone. And the *legal stuff* scares me. I don't have a pre-nup. And I'm afraid that my spouse may try to take me for everything I have, at some point.
I don't think I want to be monogamous ~ although there are *some* benefits to marriage ~ like a free babysitter.
In some ways I feel like I'm just using my spouse. But I have tried to express my feelings & it just leads to *more* arguments.
Is there anyone else out there who can relate? Please share your experiences!

Sounds like it is time to sit down with your spouse for a heart-to-heart talk. Get everything out in the open, so that you both know where each other stands. If you are feeling like you are "answering" to someone and that you have no say in things, something is wrong. Marriage should be a 50/50 thing. Both spouses should feel comfortable with each other and feel as they can say anything. Maybe marriage counseling?
