Software download site

If i need to download a software, i go to download.com or tucows.com and check if it is available there. i never got disappointed from either. they are rather my favourites. i even subscribed to download.com newsletter

I normally use my search engine if I know what I'm looking for. As far as sniffing around goes, I go to majorgeeks.com mostly. I go to download.com on occasion, but majorgeeks usually has more of what I'm looking for.
I've long since stopped using LimeWire. It seems 9 out of 10 downloads are just viruses. It's a big joke. I don't use torrents, either. If I want to try out a commercial program, I use FTP.

i think softpedia.com is a gud site and provides u each and every software.

You know, I'd never really paid a lot of attention to softpedia.com until now, and I must admit you've got something there. Their archives seem to be virtually exhaustive! I looked up firewalls, which was listed as a sub-category, and found about fifty of them, many of which (including freeware) I'd never even heard of!!! Thanks for your comment. I give it a +. :)
