This planet has been here for over 4.5 billion years.
It has seen many in its time... If you reduce the Earth's life to the extent of an year, humans will appear in the last second of December the 31st.
The planet will be up and running long after the human kind would have self-destructed. Maybe not as we know it today, but it hasn't always been like this in its past either...
There is only one thing that marks the destiny of our planet: The Sun.

The damage inflicted by humans is extensive, there is no doubt in that, but it;s not by far the worst damage our planet has suffered.
About 3.6 billion years ago the Earth suffered an intense meteor bombing. Yet, nature has many ways of recovering and exterminating the parasites that tick it. That's what it will do to humans too.

I don't know if I would agree that humans have caused "extensive damage" - where is the proof of that?

Yes, I do think. I think Planet Earth won't be destroyed. It might change, but not be destroyed. It already passed through many different phases, like the Ice Age. Why would it be destroyed? Destroyed will be the life existing in it.
But I am sure that there is a way to save our lives. There must be one way. No one prevent, but there's a way to remedy this situation. I just don't know how, though.

there are many little things we can do to save our earth..turning off lights, television and computer when u're through with them can help a lot also u can save energy by sometimes taking the bus, riding a bike or walking. planting tree also a fun activity and a great way to reduce greenhouse gases. trees absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, from the air. there are many things if we want to open our eyes :)

The Earth isn't in risk of destruction from human causes. I definitely think we need to be good stewards of the Earth and no do stupid things, but things are not as bad as some seem to think it is.
