Which is the best operating system

tiger, there is no OS till date that you can call as the best. Cos all of them have bugs in them. though linux is a better software, the world over uses windows products. to the best of my knowledge, red hat linux was the first linux version. but then, since it was a pure open system software, we started to see a basket full of variants. and i guess, there started the confusion for the user. which linux he or she had to use? comparitively, microsoft does not have variants and all the OS that it develops today garner nearly 85% of the software market. and all the application softwares are also created around microsoft products. when you consider adaptability and portability, it is better to go along with windows.
