My daughter signed Shelly up for little league. The fee was $25, plus she had to buy a baseball mitt. Almost two weeks ago Shelly had tryouts, and stood outside a store for two hours doing the fundraiser. The coach said all the kids would be called the next day, and we would be told what team she'd be on. Also what the practice day was. Well the call did not come. We made calls the following day, only to get the runaround. We finally found out the team, and then nothing. We made more call, and we still are not getting anywhere. Shelly was so excited to play, and now she is disappointed. She is only 8 years old. I feel so bad for her. How would everyone handle this situation?

I'd becalling back and findingout thename and number of thecoach. it sounds like you have one of the ones who doesn't realy want girls on his team. if you get no response from him, call back and demand another coach. I had the same problem with my daughter 15 years ago, and I had to take it all the way to the head office of the amature sports in my city, and all they were willing to do was give my money back because by then, half the season was over. My grandsons are in Baseball, and the season starts tonight here!

Well, maybe you can start your own little baseball team composed of kids left out in the cold like your little girl. Does that sound workable?
