Do you know who Giuseppe Garbaldi was?

Hi all, I am italian and one of our nation's hero is Giuseppe Garibaldi. I admire this man that was known as "the two worlds hero" as he fought for freeedom in South America and in Italy. During the second half of the XIX he was famous in the whole world, but now? Somebody knows (except the italians) who it was and what he did in his life?
