Another one of my dogs died last night. Me and my mom were in the emergency waiting room for 4 or 5 hours before we got called in. The vet took xrays and tests, which took anoter hour +. After all that waiting we found out our husky had cancer. My parents had her euthanized, the vet said that was the best descion for her. that adds up to 3 of our dogs dying in thr last 6 months. We only had one remaining, and I worry she will be so lonely with no playmate:( And I dont think my dad wants to get another dog. It is so hard for us to have to keep going to that same emergency vet with a dog, and coming home without one. It feels like thats what happens everytime, so I hate going there.

Husky's are beautiful dogs. It's a shame she passed, but it was the right choice. I'm sorry though, for the lost of your dog. When I was younger, we had a family dog that had cancer and we had to make the choice to have her euthanized as well. It's hard. I hope things start looking up... By the way, you dog is super cute!

we just lost our beloved little dog to lymphoma cancer. sigh. It is so difficult, I know. We give so much to the little buggers, and they give so much back - our lives are intertwined with theirs for such a time (Ours was 8.5 yrs) it is a major adjustment to be without them. I still have 2 other dogs, but they do not have her same personality (doganality?) so they do not compensate for the loss.... so I doubt another new dog would either. I am not ready to obtain a substitute.

So sorry for your loss - sorry for your loss
My sincerest condolences for your losses. I can only imagine how painful it is to lose a pet (I don't have any animals). Multiple pets in a short period of time is probably next to unbearable. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that your dogs lived happy lives with people that loved them every day when so many animals get abused and neglected. Again, so sorry for your losses.

I know what your saying.. I have four boxes of ashes on my dresser. My husband and I have our will written and have talked to family so that everybody knows that we want all of our ashes put together, then blessed , then release us all together in a mountainous region or near the water together. Our dogs loved water and to run and play and we still miss them so much, we have newer ones that we got before we lost them but they will get added until we can all be together playing again.. My husband and I decided on cremation way back when-when we had to make a choice what to do with them.. The hurt was so great that this is what we decided we could live with until we could be together-all of us again.. My family is ok with it, my husbands family thinks its a fettish, But our wills are made and will be carried out by someone we trust to do want we want.. You have to find peace your own way.. The hurt won't stop, anybody that tells you it will is lying.. I still cry for my babies even though they are not hurting or suffering now.. It doesn't help, I still cry and miss them and wonder if I couldn't have had a few more months.. But in the end I have to console myself with the fact that I am the one who would have been cruel if I had made the suffer any longer just so I could have had more time with them.. But it sure hurts.. I feel right along with you..Just smile and remember all the fun and love you guys shared.. It will help alittle..Bless you..Tammy

I'm am very sorry for your loss. I was wondering how old are your dogs? It is strange that yuo lost 3 in such little time. I hope that your dad changes his mind about getting a new dog. Sometimes it really helps when a new pet is introduced. I think it's part of the grieving process is learning to go on and accept new pets as you did the ones who sadly passed away. I hope that you get throguhthis rough time with as litle as pain as possible and jsut know that your pet is happier now that he/she is out of pain. Your in my prayers.

i send my condolences your way, puppies can be like kids, they aren't humans but they become aprt of our family, you should take extreme preventive measure next time you get a dog, but I thing getting a new one would be apart of your healing

I'm sorry to hear that. My sister and brother-in-law lost their great dane Misty, this morning. Seems like a sad day all around. I hope you'll feel better soon. I think your dog and my sister's dog, and the dog I lost 7 years ago, are all in Heaven playing together with my grandparents.

I had lost 2 dogs 2 days apart. because our neighbors poisoned them. Once the autopsy came back for bot dogs, We kind of mentioned to our neighbors that we found out our dogs were poisoned and that we filed a police report. A week later they were moved out of their house with a for sale sign out. I know how hard it is after you lose a pet. But we always got another animal after a month r 2. Instead of forgetting about our other pets, we talk togeather about them and our great memories with them, and we even place pictures on our wall with the family portrait because they were family. I think getting another pet after a month or so will be good for you.

It is so terrible that your neighbors poisoned your dogs! I dont understand how people can be so cruel sometimes! Any ideas why they did this?? I hope we get a new dog, mostly for my golden retrievers sake, so she isnt lonely during the day

That is so terrible! I think the barking collars are cruel too, I dont like them. I dont mind when our neighbor's dogs bark, it isnt a big deal to me! Def. not worth poisoning the poor things! If my neighbors ever poisoned my dog they would be sued so fast!

I feel your pain... I too ahev gone into the emergency room and left without my dog it is saddening and painful. And yet they made the right choice putting the dog down because you dont really want to see your playmate suffer....people who do not are only being selfish....just think if this was a person we would not have the option to put them down and sometimes that is hard for me to believe ....that we can put down an animal and not a person who is suffering every minute of every day .....go figure....are we humain or are we just people trying to make ourselves feel better about what we are doing no animal or person should have to suffer if they choose not to.

I'm so sorry for your loss...I know what it's like to have to put a pet down...I'm just very curious..were the other dogs old...I mean it wasn't in anyway related to the pet food recall -- I would hate to think that was the cause

I'm so sorry for your loss and I know how hard it can be. You did make the right choice in putting her to sleep. She won't be suffering any longer. Huskies are my all time favorite dog and I have 8 of them right now. I don't know what I would do if something happened to them. I've lost many pets but I can see how this is harder on you because you have said this is the 3rd one in 6 months. I know that your dad so no more dogs right now but I feel he will change his mind. Keep giving the other dog love and attention as it will be hard for her to.

I am very sorry for you. Your dog is free now, no more pain. Your dog went to the rainbowbridge to play there on a meadow with all the other dogs who went there before...

I feel for you.My boy, bally, has a liver problem and he had a kidney disorder a month ago.The vet wanted me to just give him holistic care.I just couldn't give up.I'm a physician so just imagine how I looked reading all my retired med school books and cross checking with a vet manual.Thank God I persevered.I promised bally that I will exhaust all means to make him well.I'm crossing my fingers that his liver profile will be normal when I bring him back 3rd wk of May.By the way,he's turning 12 on August 5.

I am very sorry for all of your losses!!! This is truly sad and I do hope you can feel the love and healing energies from those that respond. It is truly sad to loose a loved one and to loose so much all at once is a true heartbreak. I can understand your dad not wanting to get another dog at this point. Maybe in time, he will choose differently. But until then, your other dog will be grieving also. I am sure that little one left will be given lots of love. My sympathies...I have three dogs myself and it would be very painful to loose any. My heart goes out to you honey.
