magnolia tree

my magnolia has just produced pods or seeds of a massive size about 8inches.In the 32 yesrs I have lived here it has just produced the normal 1-2 inch ones.Can anyone help? Dave

Where do you live, Dave? Has it been very hot? In So. California, my magnolia produces very long pods. And it's hot here!
