I'm a writer turned self-publisher, publishing a children's chapter book available on July 7, 2007. With new books being published every day, it's hard to make anyone notice yet another. So I had in the back of my mind the question: What can I do to make my book launch catch anyone's attention?

Interesting idea for a writing contest. I too am a writer and the founder of a writing community.
To answer your question have you thought about joining an online forum, give away one of your books in exchange for reviews, create your own webpage, and host a contest?

Which one If you have one in mind LOL I belong to about 20 - 30 of them
Hard part is finding time to post on each one.
I posted this subject for a friend It has absolutley nothing to do with me but them
