Easier to talk on MyLot?

Nah not really, actually I talk to my wife when I get home about some of the things I've read here or in other forums. I enjoy talking to others in here but face to face is also important.

I don't know what other people's reasons are but I suspect there could be as many reasons for this as there are users. My reason is that it is very unlikely that any of you can use what I say against me or back stab me with it, at least not enough to affect my "real life". I sadly can not say the same about former friends and several family members. In "real life" I have learned to keep to myself and not talk about anything beyond the weather with anyone because I can not trust any of them anymore. I can come here and say what's on my mind without wondering if it will be all over town tomorrow or if I'll get an angry phone call from someone who's heard something.

I don't talk about things on here, that I wouldn't normally tell a stranger in front of me in line at the grocery store. I love people and I am a people person but I don't let strangers in on my personal business. I am a very private person. I post on here just for the sake of it, I like talking with the people and responding to current events. There are certain things I will and will not respond too....I come here to talk about current events and simple everyday quirks, not personal stuff...If it's a topic/posts that's not of interest to me I won't respond, it has nothing to do with whether it is easy to respond or not.

I am not a very open person, I don't air my dirty laundry in public like other people I know. On mylot however, it is easier to talk about things because technically, I don't know anyone and even if I have "friends", my identity remains anonymous. I have not discussed anything sensitive yet but I think that's how most of us feel here. We are a community and we can talk about anything specially the things that we can't discuss with our friends or loved ones, or the things that we just don't want to talk about.

i like to talk about less personal things on mylot and keep the personal things to family or friends

It is easier for me to talk to someone on mylot. I don't know I guess it is the fact that we aren't face to face. We don't want our people around us to think less of us sometimes. On mylot they all give advice and for the most part don't judge. For me it is a very comforting place to come and talk about problems or something going on in my life or even about memories.
