There are a lot of brave people in this world who never get any credit for it. Who are your heroes who no one's ever heard of? Personally, I'd have to say the power company repair people. Standing on power line pole in a thunderstorm can't be easy, but it's amazing what they'll go through to get things fixed.

I think that mothers and fathers are heroes. Well, the ones that are doing what they should be at least. My stepsister is here with her three daughters ages 11 months, 2 years, and 4 years. They are a handful, and that's putting it nicely. She deals with so many things ... I would have gone crazy by now. And fathers are heroes too - they never get as much credit as mothers - but everyday they go to work to pay the bills. They come home after a stressful day whereever they work and even though they are exhausted they spend time with their hyper kids who are happy daddy is home from work.

That is a very warm thought. A real tribute to parents all over the world I think. Mom especially is nothing less than GOD I think.

My grand father was a line man for Con-ed during the depression. My mom was actually pretty comfortable because her dad worked the whole time. He was a line foreman before he retired. He was pretty awesome.

Heard of the people who clear the sanitary lines? You should see them in INDIA. They practically touch our crap & all that we do is avoid getting close to them. They are called scavengers rite?
