I love Christmas because it is about giving. What is your favorite holiday?

I'm Irish and I didn't know about it so I feel as if I have learned something new. It sounds a little like New Years Day but a whole lot more. Thanks for the information. I want to learn more about it.

Samhein is a pagan/Celtic holiday. IT is where halloween came from. But, Samhein is more than trick or treaters, candy and costumes. Samhein is the Pagan new year. All old has shed away, and is now getting ready to make it's way for the new. Sahmein is also the time to connect with your passed relatives and friends, and say your goodbyes or whatever it is you would like to say. I don't know if you know much about Pagan Rituals. But, a circle is cast and corners called just like on any other ritual. We say goodbye to the old, and welcome in the new. There is a lot of energy on Samhein. It is quite wonderful.

I agree that Christmas is about giving. It is my favorite holiday too. I like to see the joy that giving to others brings to them.

I love the cooler weather and shopping for presents. With each present, you are really focused on the person it is intended for.

I don't care much for the cooler weather (I have old injuries, and the cold weather causes me pain). I do agree with you about how you can become focused on each person you buy a present for. I guess that's the best part of the shopping.

It is all of it. Shopping, the scenery, the way people are to one another.

Thanksgiving and Christmas have sort of become one big holiday season. So you actually get to spread it out even further and have a birthday celebration too! Then New Years! WOW...what a month long blast! (That's a 60's expression)
