drink to socialize or get drunk?

do you go out and drink to socialize, spend good times with friends or you wanna go out to drink-- party hard and get drunk?:)
me, i go out to socialize and have a good conversation with friends or go to a bar to dance and enjoy the music but i always try to watch my drink and make sure i dont get drunk.. but sometimes i cant help but get tipsy hehe.. how bout you?;)

I don't drink very often but when I usually want to have a few drinks this is usually because a friend and I decide to go out and have some fun . Very rarely do I decide to get drunk but if I know I have someone to take care of my children and know I have someone who will be responsible and not drink and drive then I may consider going out to have a few drinks and get tipsy but this only happens about once a year if that . I am not big on drinking as I don't see the reason to get myself sloshed either and then be hung over the next morning .
