The good side to illegal's

I know just as well as the rest that there are some illegals that smuggle drugs and comit crimes.But to the other side,I happen to live in a town,with alot of illegals and they are like one big family here,on the weekend someone has a cookout at there home and we all get together and the kids play and we have non-violet fun.It is what I loved so much about the south as a child.Since working as a translator I have seen kids that still respect the parents,some thing you dont see alot of any more,and familys spending time together,they work hard all week but they still find time to sit together at meals and play with there kids,after going to mexico a few years ago to visit some friends I remember thinking this just like america 30 years ago when the words family still ment some thing,there may be some bad things about them but there are some thing we could take notes on.

very true. i live in Yuma, Arizona. and we certainly get a lot of illegals. i know that not all of the mexicans that live in town are illegals of course. but as a whole they are very family oriented.
they do take the time for sit down dinners and family bbqs at the local parks etc. they seem much more "centered" on their family than many of us do nowadays. almost every weekend someone on our street has a bunch of family and friends over for a party. tons of kids ride up and down the street and you can smell the cooking and hear the music.
our next door neighbors have a big ol' gathering about twice a year and they always bring a huge plate of whatever they are cooking over to us and apologize for any noise they might be making lol!
i will put up with a LOT of noise for a big plate of that mans carne asada! lol best stuff ever!
