i have to agree with the other 2 about this. there is too much INTERNAL conflict going on. things we shouldnt be involved in at all. we went there under apparantly false pretenses and now that we have a democratic majority that are trying to at least get an exit stratedgy in place...Bush is just flat out refusing to budge!! which is heinous in my opinion!! its obvious that the majority of the citizens disapprove of how things are going in Iraq and disapprove of Bush and his policies. and yet he wont bend his stubborn moronic head about the issue and bring our men and women home! send his daughters! then he would be finding a way to get our troops out of iraq right quick!

That is one brilliant idea! Yes I second it. I think white House should plot something so that Bush daughter be sent to Iraq in the name of humanitarian help or something like that. Then let her stayed in the line of fire and see what Bush will do!! Though I wont be surprised if he won't do anything even if her daughters' life is in danger..

The iraq war is another viet nam. It's sick & sad. They need to bring our men and women home & stop minding those people's business. We have enough problems of our own without trying to be every other country's big brother.

I think we will, if the damn liberals would quit siding with the terrorists. The Iraqi people are the ones who will either win or lose in the end, as there are groups that do not want to see the new government succeed. The people voted that government in, so they are the people that stand to lose the most.

Iraq was invaded in order to remove Saddam from power as specified in the Iraq Liberation Act that was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1998.

There is only one question I want to ask. Why in the first place America invaded Iraq?

Saddam was no choir boy but Bush and gang entered the war on a false pretense and lied to the American people. His obvious lack of knowledge of the world beyond his ranch in Texas seems to be obvoius to the rest of the world except Americans who can't read between the lines or in this case there were no lines because he was obviously disparaging all evidence that pointed that he was wrong. American troops will die in Iraq on a daily basis as long as US politicians do not find a political solution. General David Petraeus, the commander on the ground, and probably the only top leader on the ground who seems to have served a few real days in combat has pointed out to this administration filled with draft doddging *** that there is no military solution until they get an idea of what needs to be done

The United States' involvement in Iraq is the culmination of 62 years of a case of "We won the war now what?" Since the end of WWII, the United States has embarked on an Imperialist stance. Korea, Cuba, Vietnam...every military action since 1945, set the groundwork for this latest failure in US foreign policy. Somehow we managed to take this high "moral" ground, a moral ground based on Judeo-Christian concept of "do what you want, just dont get caught. And when you do get caught, blame someone else."I was in the Army back in '91,...I saw the toll war takes on simple men. I saw the pictures of the half clothed Iraqi's looking down the barrel of a 120 mm cannon. Law of War, indeed. Isn't it funny that the old cowards in The United States government, can start the wars...but never fight them. They rely on the sons and daughters of the poor to do that. Fact is Bush never cared about Saddam. He only gives a crap about the huge oil reserves beneath Iraq. Bush, Cheyney, Wolfowitz, Petraeus...they dont have to do the dying, and the suffering. But after this thing is all over, we will foolishly give them medals...such a sadness.

Well! different ppl have different oppinions bout dat particular question.some ppl say day they can,t win da war in IRAQ n some says dat they r ruling in IRAQ ,so they,ve got it.but i think da war is still in progress.da main aim of da President Bush was on da oil refinerries of IRAQ n so now he have it.but it,s very crunch difficult time on da american forces becuase Bush admin is just thinking bout their political cause n not bout da families of these forces.it was tottaly a wrong dicision 2 attack on IRAQ becuase now american economy is goin down rapidly.but now they shouldn,t leave IRAQ atleast 4 one year bcuz noe their r great chances of Civil war in da country.May ALLAH give peace 2 every human being in da world specially Mr.BUSH.

I cannot believe the level of ignorance in this thread over all. Lets step back a second. The more accurate question is, can IRAQ win the war in Iraq? The line that says we already lost is nothing short of defeatist and cowardly. we haven't been defeated until we have turned and surrendered. The war in Iraq now is between the government of iraq, the elected government in iraq, and the various radical factions who want to take the country from its people for themselves. The role of the u.s. is now to support the government there and its fledgling military in it's effort to rout out the radicals and end the violence that still exists in 15% of the country. To the person who suggested Bush send his daughters to fight: they are adults, if they choose to go and fight it's their choice, not his. he can't force them to go any more than he can force any other non military adult to go. As far as the "for oil" inferences, If this was the case, why did most of the oil contracts there go to chinese and russian companies? Look it up, it's fact. Start thinking for yourselves everyone instead of regurgitating the mindless catchphrases your hearing from everyone on the america hating bandwagon.
