Can you live without hair conditioner?

I cannot live without hair conditioner. I condition my hair everyday to prevent tangles and to make my hair shine. I do not like to just shampoo my hair, it has to have hair conditioner after. I also do not use leave-on conditioners because I feel that it makes my hair oily. How about you?

I definitely cannot do without conditioner. If I don't use it, my scalp feels very dry and itchy. And there would be a lot of difficulty getting the tangles out with the brush or comb. I like my hair to be tangle free and very soft to the touch. Usually I don't use the leave in conditioners. Every once in a while I will buy Infusium 23 if I do decide to use some. It doesn't leave hair with an oily unclean feeling.

If you do get that brand, get it in the spray bottle. It's easier to put on your hair. With the regular bottles, you have to pour it in your hand, and it's like pouring water in your hand. It can be a little messy.

Are you kidding me? I can't live without conditioner, i don't want go out without my beautiful hair.LOL And i need a lot of conditioner to make my hair more health, i can't have it from shampoo. I have a very dry hair and stressed hair, i have to make an extra treatment for my hair and conditioner is the most important.

No I cannot! I must condition my hair. I've found that using the two in one shampoo's just do not do the job anymore, so I have to opt to buy a conditioner. I also have to buy a leave in conditioner that I'll spray in my hair every other night or when I feel that I need it and I only do this after my shower. It leaves my hair softer and more managable than just regular conditioner alone.

I also tried that 2-in-1 formula but it works like a shampoo and I don't sense any conditioner content on it because my hair is all dry and not conditioned. If I mistakenly buy that type of formula then I buy a separate conditioner.

I used to think that I couldn't live without hair conditioner. Once I became pregnant with my first son I had changed shampoos and decided to go with a natural brand from the health food store. As it is as pricey as the more expensive shampoo brands out there I decided to cut out the conditioner. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to survive being 'conditioner-less'. LOL But, after a short while I did indeed get used to it and my hair is still as silky, shiny, and tangle free without it. I have been without hair conditioner for over 10 years now and I am happy without having to do this 'step' when washing my hair.

Oh the brand of shampoo I currently use does make conditioner as well, I just don't want to pay the additional price for it. LOL Here's a link to the brand I use: http://www.mothernature.com/Shop/Brands/index.cfm/b/11774

Good for you! =) For most of us here we rely on the magic of conditioner to make our hair look nice and manageable. If I have a child already maybe I'll try looking for a healthy product, but as of now I think conditioner is a must for me =0

I haven't tried hair mask.. Maybe it's because of the weather condition that our hair is drier and more prone to tangling because of the pollution.

I can't live without hair conditioner neither. My hair is dry from the once a year perming and I need to add back as much moisture as I can to make the hair look silky and smooth, otherwise it would look very much like grass *laughs*. I condition my hair everyday after shampooing and after I do deep hair treatment once a week and let it sit for at least 2 hours before washing off. Hair is so much softer and smoother after all these.

i always use conditioner..my scalp gets pretty dry with the hard water we have here. not to mention the huge knots and tangles i get lol! another trick to make your hair shiny is after you've shampooed and conditioned and rinsed with warm/hot water...then just before you get out of the shower rinse your hair with COLD water...makes it shinier.

Hey I'll try that.. thanks for the advice. I also saw in one show that olive oil can be used as a conditioner, you leave that on your hair for about an hour and then rinse it.

I tried using hair serum to make the ends of my hair shinier because they look very dull because of the appearance of split ends... But I get too tired to apply it because you have to dry your hair to make your application effective..

My hair is dry from the once a year perming and I need to add back as much moisture as I can to make the hair look silky and smooth. Well it maybe stress but only you know if you are stressed. But it could be the shampoo or whether you are conditioning your hair. I don't know how old you are but I know as you get older you do shed more hair but that doesn't necessary mean your going bald. I have had hair come out like when I keep my hair braided to long.
