Working from home. Do any of you do it?

I know that the vast majority of ads claiming "work from home!" opportunities are total BS. A real employer wouldn't charge you to work for them. But I'm wondering if anyone here actually makes a legitimate income from home. If so, what sort of work do you do? Do you think work from home opportunities are limited to certain industries?

I was making a pretty good living with freelance writing through Associated Content. Some people there write enough and well enough to earn a regular income of $200 or more a week. It all depends on how well you write and how much you write. Combine AC with Mylot and I was earning a pretty nice income every month. I think you just have to search out things and decide what is the best and what isn't. I do think however that sometimes earning online seems to cover only certain industries. I've seen quite a bit of writing opportunities available, I mean there are sites like Helium, Triond, and many more that will pay you to write for them. Writing from home seems to be one of the easiest ways to make money from home.

I've gotten my first article published on AC recently (link in my profile) and made less than 4 dollars on it. How much were you writing to earn 200 dollars a week? Do you think people with certain areas of expertise fair better? :-/

I am making a couple of bucks with email reading and a couple of dollars with surveys. One survey company actually sends me occasionally new products to test. This is really fun.
No, I do not call this working at home. It is a hobby, I have a job.
And most if not all of these places where you have to pay first are fraud.

I didn't say mylot was working from home. I asked if anyone actually *was* working from home. Sorry for the confusion.
