What are some cheap ideas for fun with you kids

My son loves to color, to finger paint, A good idea, is take the paper outdoors, and let them make a huge mess with finger paints, then turn on the sprinklers afterwards so they can 'clean up'. My son loves his sand box, and his play house. Kids love the park obviously, and older children generally enjoy fishing. Playing outdoors with bubbles, sidewalk chalk or simply playing catch is a lot of fun, also picnics at the park are fun as well. We dont' like to keep our little ones out in the sun all day either, as they have very light skin, when we do go outdoors, we lather up with sun screen, and try to go out before 11:00, or after 4:00. Have fun!

In my town, many of the libraries and bookstores have a story time one day a week. You could check that out, and it's usually free. Also, does your mall have a play area? I have also found a local mommy's group, and we have playdates at each other's houses. If your area doesn't have one, maybe you could start one. Good luck and have fun!

I love taking the children on picnics as you can pack a small lunch to take with you and you would be feeding your child anyway so it is not costing you anything . You can even have a little picnic outside your house so you don't even have to worry about travel expenses . You can also take your children fishing or even for a walk to do something different and get out for the day . I had another good idea but I forgot what it was when I was typing this down , if I remember it again I will add it :) Best of luck !!

Well I like to take my kids to the playground, and I too have a little one so we can never stay for very long. Swimming can be fun too. My daughters love to go shopping and are usually very good when we are in the stores. Another suggestion would be to bring them to the library. It can be fun for the children and it doesn't cost a penny! Unless you have late fees, lol
