Why do women cry more often than men? No, it's not because women are emotionally weaker than men, as sexists among us often suggest. Women are four times more likely to cry than men. And the reason is primarily biological, according to William Frey II, Ph. D., research director of the Ramsey Dry Eye and Tear Research Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. According to his study, men's and women's tear glands are hormonally different. Until age 12, boys and girls have equal levels of the hormone prolactin, which explains why youngsters of both sexes tend to cry with the same frequency.

When a guy grows up he is taught to be strong.if he falls and hurts himself the father will come along and say come on now youre a big boy now.crying isnt for big boys.this doesnt happen with girls growing up really.i had a talk to my counsellor about this before and this is the explaination he gave me.boys are from such an early age discouraged to cry and encouraged to be tough and come across as strong.if a guy cries he loses that.its built into our heads from our early years so much so that we find it hard to cry.even if we want to we just cant get the tears to come out

these are only tests and opinions only by experts. i think men are more emotional than women. i know that men also are great pretenders so even they feel like crying they try to avoid because of their pride. hehehehehe
