Just Go Gor Proprietary Antennas ... Like Dlink , linksys ... it costs around 30$ .. or 20$ . top into that , place the AP or router @ centre Position . and try to remove interference device like Microwave Oven , Cordless Phone , etc etc :)

In order to boost your wifi signal you can consider buying an antenna or build one yourself. It's not very difficult to build one, here you have some links that could help you building one: 1 - http://www.saunalahti.fi/elepal/antennalinks.html 2 - http://www.wireless.org.au/~jhecker/ 3 - http://www.tux.org/~bball/antenna/ 4 - http://turnpoint.net/wireless/has.html 5 - http://netscum.com/%7Eclapp/wireless.html 6 - http://www.wwc.edu/frohro/Airport/Primestar/Primestar.html If you don't have access to some materials (cables, connectors, etc.) to build antennas like those one, there are some good sites where you can get them, for example . 7 - http://www.hyperlinktech.com/ewb/products.php In this site you can also buy made antennas. Other possibility is to choose a different protocol of wifi, the most common are 802.11a, b, g and most recently 802.11n that can reach longer distances and faster speeds. Here is an example of the difference between themand as you can see you have double distance in a 802.11n network (attention this values are indoor), and the speed is 4 times faster than the 802.11g and 22 times faster than 802.11b. 802.11 Type| Data Rate(Max)| Range (Indoor) b | 11Mbit/s|~35 meters g | 54Mbit/s|~35 meters n | 248Mbit/s|~70 meters (Source of these values: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11) So what I recommend is or to get a new antenna or improve your wifi protocol to the most recent type n.

You can use external wifi antenna, it will increase you wifi signal, but if you are using internal onboard device that the best way you can do is find any firmware update

You can try using metal plates or sheets to reflect the signals of your server and receiver in a specific direction. I found out while googling that some people used a chinese cooking utensil to boost their wireless signal. I think they called it woktena or something like that. Try googling for it. I tried the method but slightly modified it to suit my device and it works. I am now able to connect to wireless networks from places that was not possible.
