Can guys and girls be "just friends"?

--I know, this might seem like a trivial topic, but I thought, Is real friendship possible between a boy and a girl? Your thoughts please!... Are truly platonic relationships between the sexes impossible?

yep, why not? unless the girl and boy falls in love with each other...or are ex's..then that might be a little hard if there are still unresolved issues hehe..

Yes! One of my best friends is a guy. We have been best friends for about 13 years. When we first met he had a crush on me and wanted to date. But after talking we decided that we would much rather be friends then to date and take the chance of losing our friendship if we were to ever break up. I think making that decision made our friendship stronger. It would truly upset me if I were to ever lose his friendship.

being a girl or a boy does not mean you can't make friends with the opposite nature. friendship is something which knows no boundary's. why even i my best friend is a girl and she is my childhood friend. look its all in your mind. if you treat them as friend, they will always remain friend.

Yes they can....although if you notice..most guys *not all* usually get a small feeling of "puppy love" around all girls...its just natural though...but yea..i have several friends that are girls as well as a girl friend

yes i believe a platonic relationship is possible....some of my most loyal best friends were guys. I find they make much better friends sometimes...course they may have had feelings for me...we never were intimate keeping the relationship purely platonic....
