I love to travel on tram.Because it has much more space than bus.It goes on its own track. No interruption, don't need to wait in the traffic jam.I think trams are best means of transport in cities. What do you think?Any good experience do you have in travelling with tram?Do you prefer tram to bus?

They call it the Light Rail system here, and it is by far a lot faster than the bus. One disadvantage is that on the secondary cars attached if there is no security personel present there are on occasion those who think they can do anything they want, like banging on the sides singing violent racist songs, or threaten other passengers. But most of the time there's no problem, and by far, the best of the two if it goes at least most of the way to your destination.

I am in the Sacramento, California area, in the United States. It would not surprise me if the people in Hungary are more civilized than here. Or maybe if you have a rebellious younger generation you know how to handle it better (though one guy who started shouting obscenities at me for no reason was a lot older than myself, and I am approaching 50 years old)
These were isolated minor incidents I have experienced, but I heard of more violent crimes being committed, even on busses where there is at least a driver present.
I am sure the New York City subway has round the clock security as well as other major metropolitan areas.

Hi,thanks again for the reply.I know that it is little bit danger to travel espicially in metro or trams in NY.I have few friends there and they told me that such incidents happen in NY.
Actually in Hungary also you can find such incidence. If they see that you are foreigner or if you have brown complexion they will start to shout at you or they will use their hands. So every where I think such problems exist.Just we ahve to be careful and cautious.

yeah, its really convenient to travel on train in the city. no traffic. you'll be on your destination in a matter of minutes. but sometimes i dont like to travel on it because during rush hour it really gets packed. you'll be like a sandwich in it. during rush hour, i prefer buses cause there are a lot of bus and there are buses which have lots of vacant seats so i'll just wait for that bus to arrive......
