'The biggest temptation to me is food, especially junk food, whenever I have bought some chocolates or chips at home, I will finsih them quickly, sometimes I would even want to eat them just after dinner. Cigarettes are also a big temptation to me but I am trying to light up less frequently.'
How about you? Do you have any temptations in your life? Money, food, men, women, power or something else??
How do you tackle with them?? Have you had any success in resisting any kinds of temptations? Have you ever fail to resist temptations then??
Do share your thoughts:)

oh I can say that my biggest temptation was to keep on calling and seeing and hearing and listening to my ex boyfriend..no matter how much he hurt me, I was still in love with him and i made him hurt me more and more each time he came back to me and I hurt myself calling him again and again when I should have better cut everything..now that everything is over I learnt that bad relationship are my biggest tempation because I find it difficult to stop loving people once I loved. Therefore it is clear for me that I have not to start any relationship that I feel it wrong for me.

I totally relate with your statments on toxic relationship addiction/temptation. For me, it was one man in particular that I just could not get out of my system. It wasn't that he was really better than the next guy. I think that we often feel the temptation to have contact with someone like that because we invested so much time, effort, and energy into the relationship that giving it up or admitting that it is over is like admitting to failure. We know how much work and time we committed, and it's a scary thought to know that to have a successful relationship, we have to put just as much time and energy into someone new. You've done it once, and it turned out badly, so you're afraid to take that chance of it not working out and being hurt again. At least with the old boyfriend/girlfriend we know what to expect from them. Sort of a comfort thing (comfort in the familiar). At least that is what I figured out about my ex-boyfriend. It was my fear of taking a chance on someone new that kept me wanting him and only him. But, when I realized that my heart deserved better than what he had given to me, I was able to pass up that temptation at last. It was so liberating!

One temptation that I comes to my mind right now is Mylot.I don't want to resist this temptation as it is too addictive. As for the other addictions,I don't refrain myself from eating chocolates when I am in a chocolaty mood, lol.I don't eat much junk save pizzas with lots of cheese and meat and coffee with cream.I never even try to resist them because they are so yummy ,lol.

I find it hard to resist temptation and the one food I find really hard to resist is ice cream. If there is any in the house I can't leave it alone. I try not to buy it any more as I know I just will find it hard to resist. I used to smoke and thankfully managed to give up so good luck with giving them up. Once you have you will be so pleased with yourself and wonder why you ever started.

I try to resist but for some things i'm just not good at it! Like I love pizza, and usually once I decide I want some, i'm done for! Even if it's just a frozen pizza it will do! I can't really think of any other temptations. I don't smoke, or chase after men ;)

Now I am on a diet, and I think that the biggest temptation to me is PIZZA!
But I love a lot of other food which is
really unhealth and temptative.
I am at the beginning of the diet, so I think I can resist... but later on?
Let's wait and see.
When I have a spare moment, I think to food. I can't help.

I do love my junk food. I used to walk 2 miles to get my chocolate fix. My hubby didn't have any junk food in the house. So, I would go out and buy my own. It was tempting to eat it all up in one sitting. But, I managed to use my will power to make it last for a few days. After awhile it just got too spendy. Besides when it came to summertime, the chocolate would melt before I got it home. What a mess!

Actually our convienent store is 2 miles away. It is not very convienent to us though. It's not too bad in the spring and fall, but winter can get a bit tricky as it is downhill all the way. In the summer it is just too hot to walk it.

Yes I have a feeling that a lot of cigerette companies will go down... or the pubs and clubs around will because no1 will go out because they cannot smoke in the pubs and clubs so they will stay in to smoke... either way someone will lose out... it is not good....

Human beings are liable to be tempted. I am tempted all the time. My most temptations are nice looking women, money, beautiful cars, travel, good food, clothing. That is what I think most of the normal human beings are after.
Obviously we can not have all of them. So we have to contain ourselves. We have to live withing our possibilities. I try to be reasonable and rational. I tell myself that for obtaining anything, one has to work for that.
I don't tink there is anything wrong for aspiring and working towards having good things of life. One should strive for money and wealth. They are necessary for fulfilling one's desires. I believe that people can have what they want if they strive and take all legit steps.
Any one can aspire anything. To translate ones desires and aspirations into action is not everyone's cup of tea. But I will stress it again that whosoever tries, can get what he wants. One should set goals and then a plan of action to attain those goals.
I would definitely try to work to fulfil my desires and just not to sit for the things to happen by themselves. Things have to be worked out.

Hi,easy888!
I think I cannot say no to delicious food LoL.
I'm keeping on diet now so that means that I have to keep far away from chocolates, cheese, fried chichen,ice-cream and so many other high calorie foods. Now I have to drink more water when I feel hungry. That's painful.
One day when my best friend and I shopped in the supermarkdet, she said that I shouldn't be so strict to myself. She persuaded me to pick up some chocolate bars in my cart.Well, honestly,I stood in front of the chocolate shelves about 20mins,and finally I decided not to buy any chocolate bars.I think this time,I'm successful but I cannot promise that next time whether I will pick up some bars in my cart.

it is good that you have such a strong hold of yourself. self discipline really matters most in resisting temptations. i hope that i can have this strong self discipline value in me, too.

we always have a choice a choice to give in to temptation or not.. although sometimes we had a hard time to resist temptation. we tend to put to much effort just to resist temptation.

Hello, Easy:-) My temptations are books, perfumes, chocolate and ice cream. Usually if i have money in my pocket-i never think too long before to buy any of theese things. And i think that no need to resist. Theese habbits are not too harmfull, if they are in small dose:-)

The truth is temptations always fail me in everything. Most of them came in forms of Laziness and Shopping Temptations.

I am a smoker so I guess that would be one tempataion that I have failed to resist....
I am a pepsiholic so that one too...
I used to care about my standing in the nursing community...but have retired from that career...I truly loved it but it consummed my life...I had to let it go!
I do not crave sweets....occassionally I snack on popcorn or fresh fruits or veggies.....that is not really a temptation to me..
I crave the continuation of the closeness of my family....I guess that I am the "peace keeper", since I have 3 grown children with kids of their own, a almost 5 yr. old, and 7 grandchildren..........keeping peace is a full time job....but my family is the most important thing to me in my life...so I consider it worthwhile.
I do not spend a lot of time thinking about money...as long as I can pay my bills, eat, and do something with my family once in awhile...I am content at home.
Hope that you found this interesting,,,,good topic!

Me too , junk foods are always on my list. I love McDonald's french fries. I always see to it that whenever I pass by McDonald's I will buy at least 1 regular fries.
I really crave for that. I am a failure with that resisting mcdonald's fries.Sometimes I avoid going there, only twice a week now,but I keep thinking of fries, fries, and fries.I am also tempted to play games in fun centers, like timezone, powerstations and all the like. I have spent a lot of money whenever we go there.
