How do you celebrate the national day in your country?In Norway we celebrate the 17.th of may with a childrens parade. It is really nice. All the school children participate. people wear their national costumes. People spend the day with family and friends. In Oslo many goes to the palace to great the royal family. The parade also goes by the palace.

Every state in Malaysia will celebrate by having a parade in the morning.
And then, the big parade is held normally in Kuala Lumpur which is telecast on TV. Sometimes, other states will have the opportunity to host the parade. Like Kuching did last year.
This year is rather unique to Malaysia as it's our 50th Years. Im creating a site in conjunction with it and hope to help promote Malaysian companies through the site :) www.themalaysiapage.com

The government agencies, private companies will have representation (usually a team of people)... and they will march down the road witnessed by the Prime Minister and the King.
There is also an aeroplane show and other performances like making of Malaysia flag, the hibiscus by human team on the field.
Its a morning ceremony with quite a lot of glitz and fun :)

Hello,teison2,the national day of australia is on 26th january,diffent people will have different ways to celebrate, some will go out to have some celebrating activities like firework .In the last national day,I had gone to the house of my relatives which I could see the firework in Darling Harbour from afar.We had barbecue at the backyard and watching the firework at the same time.
