I have been playing video and computer games for years now and every now and then appears some of the strangest of games! What are the wierdest you have played, for what system and appart from strange (obviously) what did you think of the game?
One of the oddest for me currently has to be the Katamari games for the PS2 and PSP (are they one other formats?). I have Me & My Katamari for the PSP and it is just...well...strange! You roll around a sticky ball and make it bigger by rolling the ball into items and they stick to the ball. You have a time limit to make the ball (which is the katamari) a certain size. It is an odd game, and for me at the moment rather challenging (although I'm guessing a lot of people would find it easy) but good fun.

My thoughts is Amagon...when I hit the select button, he grows into a huge guy who walks soo strange that...err...well I can't describe it. It easy to beat the game at that form but it feels odd playing the strong guy. And "The Mutaun Virus" looks odd just off the back. The only enemy there is just virus that just spread. Sure it's difficult (which is what I like) but there is something that creep me out that I can't point out. And there is the game "Dash Galaxy in the Ailen Asylum". Around 17 years ago, I thought I was playing moonwaker michel jackson in the game since I have seen his music video then, and with the same clothes and hair color, I was thinking......nawww, maybe it just me.

Ah, some one who actually read that I was on about wierd games, not favourites! Good to see people do read things before they respond!
What format was Amagon on? This sounds interesting and I fancy having a look!

Hmmm...my favorite game is.........
nah, I'm not gonna say that, I was actually being mean and making fun of the people who don't really like to read, and then make complete fools of themselves.
Let's see, strange games, this is a difficult one for me, as there are very few things that I find strange.
Oh, yeah, I know, it was dungeon keeper 2, it's also one of my favorites, and I'll tell you why it was strange, well, first off, it was unlike most games, where you are the good guy against the bad or the evil. I was the bad guy in this one, a dungeon keeper, and I had all these minions, like imps and demons, and I had to build them like training rooms and lairs and torture rooms and stuff, it was actually a very strategic game, but I would then build this army of these creatures, and then we would fight against the, Oh so good, princes and kings. It was actually a really fun game, I could slap my minions around literally, and I did that a lot, and I quite enjoyed myself too. I finished that game, ridding the world of all good once and for all. It is still one of my favorite games, although it is strange, it was PC game.
I've never played that game you mentioned, but that sounds cool too, in it's own strange way.

Yeah, I've played Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2 on the PC and it is quite refreshing to play the Bad Guy! This is one game I'd love to have on the PSP and play this on the move!
Another odd game for you to look out for is Doshin The Giant on the GCN. You play Doshin, which as you more than likely guessed, is a giant. You walk around making islands for worshippers to build villages and monuments to you! Dosh has a split personality, and is yellow when he is happy (and the sun shines)...but when he is red, he is nasty (he looks kinda devil-like too) and it goes dark and you can project fireballs! In some ways it feel like Black and White, accept you are the actual moster. I never really understood why such a game was ever released (it was a sequel to a game for the N64 in Japan only...there's a surprise!) or why I bought the game in the first place, but I played it and got hooked...I must be mad!

I have heard a few rumours here and there, but nothing solid sadly...although a DK3 on the new gen consoles/hanhelds would be awesome, especially if they could all link together, online madness ahoy!

For me, I think it is POPULOUS. It is a god type of genre which I thought I can like. But it's crazy. I read the manual and don't understand how to play the game. With only one kind of screen, it just doesn't make sense for me.

Never played the game, although I know my daughter has it and she thinks it is pretty cool.
I'll have to borrow her PSOne version.

Why don't you just play it on the pc? I think it is abandonware. You can get it free.
If not at http://www.abandonia.com then maybe http://www.the-underdogs.info .

there was a game called "the quest" for the N64 system.it was one of those where you have to take turns when there's a battle and program out every command.that alone could make a fight last too long.
the graphics were buggy, the layout made no sense,
and the main character-i don't know what they were going for,but he looked like a quail LOL

I think I'd heard of that one, never played it though. Does sound rather screwed up to say the least! By the description you have given me I'm glad I didn't play it!

I've grown up with computers all the way from a ZX81 so there are a few games that are way cool and wierd .. chucky egg on acorn electron was an early platformer but had chickens chassing you all over. Wetrix on N64 was a cool and different take on tetris.the game you mention reminds me of marble madness which was a coin-op.Crystal Castles by Atari is one of my favourite old coin-ops, basically you were a bear in an isometric level collecting crystals using a trackball !! SuperMonkeyball is a class game thats a little different.

I'd have to say the weirdest game i've ever played is Flow for the ps2.
You start out as this thing made of spheres with a mouth and you go through each level trying to grow bigger and evolve. To do this u have to eat other creatures, some smaller then you and some bigger. To win you must make it to the last level and the final stage of your evolution.
