I prefer drying clothes in the dryer as I think it's more convenient for me. After I had taken out the clothes from the washing machine I just throw them into the dryer. After setting the timeer I can leave it alone and do whatever I wish. No hanging of clothes is required and no need to worry about the weather and when to collect the clothes. We can go out anytime and when we come back the dry clothes are ready for us.

You are right. It is handy to throw in to dry and do what needs to be done and not have to worry bout rushing out to get em in when it rains or if the wind gets up. I also think that drying in dryer helps to get the germs out. Have a good day and happy postings!

To me some clothes don't do well on the clothes line, they come in all stiff and rough. Others are so nice to hang outside on a good sun shinny day and that good clean, fresh smell. ummmm I have not had a clothes line though in some time now but there are times I wish I had one for certain things.

Outside when I can to save electricity.Every dime I can save is a windfall for me. I have cancer and live on $700.00 a month, lol. So I try to save money, all the time, my friends collect candles for me so I do not have to use lights at night. I would rather use my electrical allotment to be online, lol, so I can talk to ya'll. I have always dried my clothes outside on the clothesline. If you use a softener in your washing they do not come out stiff at all. I don't like drying any of my clothes but that could be because I was raised in the country and we always hung them out. Towels are pretty much the only thing that gets dried in the dryer.

I don't have an outdoor clothesline and don't really think we have the place for it as we have a swimming pool and a spruce tree right outside the kitchen door. I wouldn't mind having one but I think I would tire from bringing wet clothes up from the basement. My Mom has a clothes line and I love the way she lowers it to hang the clothes and then raises it up so the clothes don't touch the ground. I remember running through the bedsheets as a kid.
I feel guilty about using the dryer so much because I would love to save energy. Electricity is cheaper at night and on the weekends (when the industrial plants aren't running) so we are encouraged to do our laundry then. I don't usually do it then though sometimes I am still doing laundry at night.
I do have a clothesline in my laundry room where I hang a lot of clothes because I am really afraid of shrinking stuff. Even socks shrink. Other than sports socks I hang up all our socks. I find the clothes do dry stiff on the line inside even though I use a fabric softener in the washing machine, so I throw the clothes in the dryer for five minutes on the delicate cycle after they have dried. That softens them up.
Outside drying can bring unpredictability as far as the weather. If it rains suddenly it can take two days for clothes to dry outside.

Well since I haven't had a dryer in over a year, I guess you could say I prefer hanging clothes to dry. But given the choice I'd love a dryer. It's so much faster and easier. Also I miss folding fluffy, warm towels. The one good thing is that I love the outside smell on my sheets and blankets. It's frustrating when it rains though or if I get home late after the dew sets in.

I much prefer to dry my close in a dryer for several reasons:
1. It is more Sanitary.
When clothes are outside wet, there is a far greater chance of them becoming contaminated by bugs/birds etc and most importantly mold.
2. It's faster, and the clothes come out softer and smelling better do to the use of fabric softeners and anti-cling sheets.
I thought I had more reason, haha but I guess that about covers it.
