Hi dobyladysaturn! Thanks for responding to my discussion. Kangaroos look so harmless i never thought that they could be considered as pest by anyone.

Yes, they can be. They eat all the fresh grass that pops up and therefore taking food away from cattle farm. The numbers are rising and the problem is getting worse due to our drought.

Though kangaroos are animals originally found in Australlia I had seen them in my country natinal zoo. The special feature of kangaroo is it's sac at the adomen that can carry it's baby. They are quite tame and cute so I think we can keep them as pets.

I dont think that they can be kept as pets. They are wild life. They wont manage to survive in a town or a city. Once they get out of their habitat they will be mostly like to be killed by cars.

While yes the Kangaroo are cute and seem like they would be a good animal for a pet, I don't think I've ever heard of a case were some one was allowed. True they can be tamed but even a tames kangaroo can be dangerous. As for Australians, they wouldn't even bother with them as a pet, because they are the equivalent of deer. They are a potential food source and are quite a pest. They have now come to were they have to thin out the population because so many of them are killed along highways and roads. However don't let all of that put you off in any way, i just felt the need to share the info ^.^

i dont know if the nature wildlife reserve may consider kangaroos are pets. but they are a very unusual animals because of the pouch they have where they put their babies in. and that really astounds me in many ways. and how God really do makes wonders on us all.. yes i also love and like the kangroos... thanks my friend ...jhelai

As cute as they may look. I don't know if I want an animal that can hold me down and kick the crap out of me if he/she gets upset as a pet. I have seen on tv where these animals gets down right nasty towards people and other animals. Now it was funny when I saw one beating the crap out of a guy in a costume. It was heavily padded so the guy wasn't hurt to bad.
