Do we work to earn our bread and butter? or do we work to have a better life? or is there anything else that we are looking for??

well unfortunately I think we have to work for our bread and butter more so then we work for a better life.. Its such a shame that everyone has to work such long hours each day to make ends meet... I really think we need a chance to live our lives not just spend the entire time working .. one of those crappy things of life but that I suppose will never change.. I have a saying : we should work to live not live to work.. have a great day

All I can say is that it is we who can make a better life not our work. And so I always say that work with full responsibility as long as you are given those responsibilities and make your priorities in your life clear to your bosses at work . God, family and friends.....

well me and my husband we are working for a better life and to get out of this state that we are in now and he is very unhappy here and we can't do nothing yet but we are working on that and once we do then we are out of here so fast that it makes your head spin and the only thing that i can say about the this state is that my kids where born here and i don't have any family here that really comes over to see me and call me just to say hi and we will do alot better if we just get out of here and im sure my husband would agree with me

I fully agree with what you say. Personally, I also work to have a better life. Being single I don't have too much to worry about of family responsibilities but being from an indian culture where parents expect their kids to be their source when they are retired, has tied me with this responilibity. Frankly, I want to get a job where I can give more time to my family and friends and socialise which I am not able to do so. But there is always a hope in my Lord Jesus whom I try to proclaim through my work and I think if we look at work in that way then we can find lots of new things in a very boring and spontaneous work. All I can say work as if we live for your creater. This comment is what was try to do.
