Smoking, A style/fashion/Trend Or And Addiction

Well initially when a person picks up this habit it is for style and the trend with his classmates, gradually this style becomes a habit and finally into addiction.Somehow I consider the people who smoke as people who lack willpower that they themselves know it is not good for themselves as well those who are around them but still cannot control themselves, I feel more angry than pity.

I am an ex smoker. I started smoking at the age of 13, and i kept doing it for 13 years. Last year November 10th, I decided that I had to quit and I did. I started, probably because of group-preassure and eventually it turned into an addiction. The addiction is the hardest thing to get rid off and that is what keeps you going and keeps you smoking. I wish I had never started, but i did so now I am happy that I beat the addicion and quit!

I think it all starts out as a trend or a fshion statement but always ends up in an addiction. i actually feel sorry for them - coz sometimes they want to stop but the addiction si sos trong that they are unable to. Its like a whirlpool that just sucks thewm in.

In India some people like boys think dat its a style...........In my street some boys will smoke like style but they dont know dat its a addiction

yep.. i think there are billions of smoker all over the world. .so it's impossible to stop them... first of all.. there are many different reasons why one wishes to smoke... the first one would be.. for the style.. this especially for teenagers.. they like to smoke and show that they're very macho. .which is not true as they're actually killing themselves.. another reason is due to addicted.. this falls to people at the age of 30 - 60... they always give stupid reasons saying that they're already addicted and it's impossible to stop smoking.. this is bullsh*t to me.... i think if you have the will to stop.. you will get to stop it... and.. i don't think smoking has anything to do with fashion and trend =)

No. I don't hate smokers. Actually I pity them. Cos apart from risking their hearth, they also waste their money for something which is not worthwhile. Athough I'm once a smoker, but now with money and hearth our most important issue in life, I tend to pity the people whi smoke. But id\f anyone out ther who want to quit smoking but cannot, here's one very easy way to stop. I can say this I used this simple method to stop and the resultis...very succesfull!! The secret is...just don't pick another cigerratte from now own. Its that simple, cos it not the matter you you cannot stop smoking, but the real reason is YUO DNO'T WANT TO STOP SMOKING. If you want, you cant. That's all.

Its definitely not a style nor a fashion trend, big time! there's no such thing in magazines that smoke because its in. its definitely an addiction. its a trend too in a way, when all your friends are doing it, but trend is different from fashion trend, as the latter is specific.

I feel sorry for them because smoking is just like killing their body slowly. Base on my observations, its starts with curiousity then when a person likes it, it becomes a habit then on way to addiction forgetting that one is killing their body slowly.

I smoked for 15 years, but thank goodness I gave up the dirty habbit 2 months ago. It is an addiction big time! I do feel sorry for smokers because it is hard to quit, but at the same time I don't feel bad because if I can quit anyone can.

If they want to smoke, that's fine with me but the most annoying thing is that they don't bother about anyone else. Even in non-smoking places, they will still puffing away. Our health is jeopardized by them. Most smokers smoke because they see it as a trend. They feel cool or sexy when they smoke. Others are influenced by their friends. They want to gain acceptance by joining them. To me, they should take care of not only their health, but also their love ones' especially their children's health. Besides, once you start smoking, it will become addictive and it's difficult to quit.

in my opinion,smoke is an addiction,maybe at first,i mean when you first smoke,it was a fasion,but as you smoke day after day,fashion doom to be an addiction.i think there's no fashion about smoke,i do never consider someone who smoke is cool,never. i don't hate smokers,my daddy smokes too.i tried to persuade him quit smoking but that doesn't work.i hope one day he can do that.

Smoking is an addiction. A bad one. Some people look at it as a style. If they smoke, they are "the guys". But some years later, they'll find out that the Guys have no lungs. They are erased inside. They will have no physical resistance. They might get cancer. They'll certainly die sooner than they should. So, I think smoking is an addiction!

A style turned into a horriable addiction.
