Are filmstars given undue importance by media?

Everyday we read the newspaper and get atleast one news related to the filmstars....sometimes its as normal as a filmstar having a sprain in their neck...is it really required?The same was done with the over hyped abhishek-aishwarya wedding...media was just behind it like mad..one photograph they got was shown on the tv channel for the whole day..do such news hide other important news?I feel filmstars should be left alone to live their personal lives ....what are your views on this?
