How many moms know the words to kid show theme songs....

my daughter's a Barney fanatic. the three of us, the dad included, love to sing the I Love You song together.

At first I didn't really pay that much attention and then after while I noticed that I too was singing the songs along with them. I guess it is okay because in a way it encourages my kids to want to sing and dance and have fun while they learn.

My sons like the Disney Channel and more than once I have found myself singing along to the songs, they repeat episodes often. My husband looks at me like I have grown a second head, but I just make a face at him. lol As a SAHM I tend to get more than my fill of cartoons each day, but some of those songs are just so darn catchy! lol

I know Barney's song by heart because I watched his shows together with my daughter when she was younger. That's only with Barney, because I can't keep up with the new songs she's singing now lol!. She's also into a lot of shows on Nick Jr. and Cartoon Network, while I'm pretty loaded with work, so I'm just surprised with the new really think it's cool for the kids to hear their parents sing with them. Imagine if I'm the kid and my mom or dad digs the same thing that I enjoy, that would be very cool! :)

I sing alot of them even when the programme is not on. lol I used to help out in a playskool before i had my son so learned alot of them there and had them on my brain constantly even when i was not in the playschool. They are a great way of teaching your children new things and it's fun for them to learn.

You don't have to be a mom to know the theme songs! Watching my little sister has led me to know the song for Dora, Blues Clues, Backyardigans, The Wonder Pets, and many more! You definately aren't crazy!

LOL....Is there a support group for people like us? Not only do i know the words but i have some of the themes downloaded and play them in the car as i go out throughout the day paying bills with or with out the kids...lol.... I am not ashamed....LOL (yes i am..now)

i love music so i do sing along to all the kids theme songs on tv. we even have a bunch of kids song tapes in the car that i sing along to. i'm not embarrassed, when your used to hearing it every day it's kind of hard not to know it.

If you'd asked this last night, I would have said that I know a little bit of some songs but not much... Well today I realized that that is not the case at all. I'm here with my 4 year old, my 2 year old and my 5 1/2 month old. The baby is sick and has been fussing and spitting up all day, their dad is working nights so he's sleeping which means we all have to try to be quiet, and it's raining out. Needless to say we are having an all day Nick Jr marathon and I don't feel the least bit guilty. Normally I play with the older ones a lot especially when the baby's sleeping but today the baby won't leave my lap. Anyway...! Yes, I too know the words to them all. I didn't realize it until we watched them all one after another on the same day. Moms should unite in the crazyness...We're not too big and we're not too strong but when we work together we get the job done. Go...Moms!... errr, Wonder Pets!

don't worry you're not the only mom who knew all the childrens show theme songs. I am also admitting that by intentions i memorize all the lyrics in the songs because i also want my child to learn it and sing it. tell your husband not to get embarassed. Instead he must be proud of you because you are really a mom by heart...

"Dragon Tales, Dragon Tales, it's almost time for Dragaon Tales..." Yep, I know the theme song too well. Our local library had a play thing for young kids once a week and part of it involved watching one little Dragon Tales cartoon. LOL That song has been stuck in my head ever since.

I used to laugh at my friends when they started singing along to all the theme songs from the kids' shows. Now, after having two kids of my own, let me tell you that you are not the only mom out there who knows all the words to the songs. The get stuck in your head and because it brings such joy to the kids to hear them, you can't but enjoy singing along with them.

Haha! You are not alone my friend! Not only do I know them all by heart, my husband knows more of them than I do :) I think it just goes to show that we are involved and informed about what our children are doing!

You're not the only one..I catch myself doing that myself..I am proud to do it,like you said I am a bit of key myself...lol Nope your not crazy just enjoying your kids why they are young...

I used to know them all but now that none of them are home in the day to watch those shows they have thankfully left my mind. The only one that still sticks is Barney's cleanup song. I will still sing this and sometimes to my kids friends or at the school or something and while they will all make faces at me and try to act like they are too cool you can hear them singing the song along with me LOL!!!
