May Day Immigration March 2007

The March is on. It started at 10 AM in the downtown Los Angeles area. Seventeen streets will be closed, so if you were planning on going downtown today you may want to rethink that. There is also an off ramp that will be closed.Check the local news websites and media for current information. Hopefully it will be a peaceful march.

I dont live in California so this will not affect me but I would love to hear more about you May Day Immigration march. Seventeen streets is alot of streets to be closed. Is there that many people in the march and exactly what does it intail? You state that hopefully it will be a peaceful march. Have there been violence in the past and how long have they been doing this? I think this is very interesting. Are their lots of Immigrants in Los Angeles?
