How do I speed up a application to open?

I defragment my computer in regular interval. But some applications take more time to open and even show the occasional error and hang. What is the remedy? Can anybody guide me please?

Have you check whether your computer has spyware? do a full scan by using spybot. If it still lack, i believe it might due to your computer RAM problem. You might want to upgrade it or change the RAM to higher capacity to speed it up.

Check if you have too many programs running at the same time. You can do so by looking at the lower right portion of your task bar. If you see more than 10 different icons, your PC's resources are being used up. You can either stop some applications you're not using to improve the performance. Otherwise, you ought to upgrade your system.
