R Banks providing Mortgage(Home Loans) putting over burdon on people

do u think these Banks providing mortgage are puttin a lot of burden on people because these banks keep on increasing the interest rates day by day and hardely decrease them. i am stuck in one such mortgage and finding to get out of it as the mortgage is having variable interest rate. Any can suggest me anyyhing with this.
