which ining in your opinion was the best in the world cup history .also give reasons and explanation for your choice .in my opinion the ining played by ricky ponting in the final of 2003 was the best one as he being the captain of the side was in tremendous pressure and i believe that it is very tough to be a captain of such a great side there is always pressure to lead from the front and ricky ponting did the same thing in that great ining.he shows a lots of guts, good temprament, positive attitude and right mind set up to took the game very far away from the indians.another great ining in my opinion was the one played by the great srilankan batsman and wise captain then arvinda de silva in the final of 1996 against australia at lahore .the greatness about the iniing was that when he came to bat, srilanka was in critical condition losing early wickets there he came and played brilliant ining and win the trophy for lankans by his magnificent century.

ya kislay that was a wonderful inning...........no doubt.but if we see that then we will find that either it would be finale of 2003 or finale of 2007 both the matches were onesided.it was the aussies who dominated them. but if u ask for the best innning in worldcup history my answer would be the inning of 175 runs played by kapildev in the 1983 worldcup.though he was not a specialised batsman yet he scored a brilliant century and took his team to victory.

I think its Gilchrit's innings in the final of 2007 is the best.It took the game away from SL.
