Do you believe you can truly write an essay and talk on the phone, or drive and listen to the radio at the same time?
Or is it that you can really only concentrate at one thing at a time? Like for example, your brain fades out the music while you are driving etc.

I think that there are people out there who really cannot do more than one thing at a time. I do very well with multitasking. i guess because it is part of my job LOL. But talking to someone while I am putting a report together. Or listening to music while I am typing is not a problem at all for me. I do have some people who work for me though who cannot even have the radio on because it really throws them off. I guess we all have things that we are good at, and for me it is being able to do a million things at once LOL.

I can only do one thing at a time, but can have things on the background. Like I can focus on writing this piece of text, meanwhile on the background having CSI on on tv ;).
