Men please give your honest imput as well...
I know some people have a problem when women wear weaves because they feel its fake... not real... do you think there is a problem with not being natural all the time

I personally have never had weave, micros, etc. I own a few wigs, but they're white, silver, green, and some other crazy colors. If you want fake hair because it makes you feel beautiful, go ahead, rock it out. As long as you know you're gorgeous without, there's no problem. I just can't stand it when someone with obviously fake hair claims it's real. I'm sorry, but if I light a match under your braid and it melts, you KNOW that's fake.

You know what your so right. today these men are attracted to the Long extentions, and makeup and fancy tight clothes, like they see on TV but as soon as a women looks natural they don't even look her way unless she just has explicit beauty and thats not the case all the time.... its a catch 22
I personally wear weave so I don't damage my hair with all the styles that I wear... but sometimes i feel like being myself so I guess its not the hair that makes the women but the women that makes the hair
thanks....

I keep micro braids in my hair because they last a long time.It really doesn't make me feel less than a woman.I feel great about myself. If I dont wear the micros I go natural. Its really fine with me.

so for you micro braids is a sense of style...and its convenient I feel the same way... plus you don't put wear and tear on your natural hair

For me natural or not is up to you. Whats make you better is more important than whats others think about. Its all about you yourself not other. Dont care what others said.

Your right its all about how you feel inside and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as your not hurting anyone

It's just a part of the overall appearance in my opinion, just like clothing. Just a bit more new than clothing though, but first people which started wearing clothing must have thought the same.

I don't have no hair because i shave it every time.but when i did have hair,i would wash my hair 4 times weekly.now that i don't i shave my head 3 times a month.depending on how many razor blades i have.wash my hair every day,but I don't use shampoo every day, sometimes i just stand under the shower and give it a wash with the water,I suppose I use shampoo on it about 3 times per week on average

I keep my hair braid in weave for convenience and I am all women regardless if I wear my own hair or weave. My hairstyle nor my clothes makes me the woman I am. It is not the hair that is fake it is the persons perception of themselves wearing the weave that is fake. The person who wears weave to change themselves because they are not happy with themselves and becomes another person when wearing it. I am confident in my womanhood whether I have short or long hair, natural or weave. Those who have a problem with it obviously have self image concerns. As India Aurie sings "I am not my Hair"
