Disney World in late April

We just spent last week in Disney World with our five children. We took the kids out of school for the week and are glad we did. It was the BEST trip we have ever been to there. The crowds were SO low that there were hardly any lines for rides. The logest we waited for anything was 30 minutes and most major rides we didn't even need the Fast Passes for. We think late April must be the BEST time of year to go there. We were so spoiled by no crowds that I doubt we could ever enjoy Disney again in a busy season. Best ride was definitely "Soarin" at Epcot. We loved it!

I imagine that the summer time is when it would be crowded, or during the holidays. Looks like you did choose just the right time to go there. Anyway, I was wondering what happened to you. I hope that you're doing good.

So glad to hear that you and your family had a blast. We tend to go every year or two around the first of December and it is not crowed at all either. I just love Disney World for the fact there is so much to do and a much larger scale than Disneyland.

I say it is so worth it to take your kids and go off-season also. Sure I prefer to go on vacation when it is warmer- but you are right it's the perfect time with way less crowds. I've only been once and it was off-peak. I keep saying I'm going to get back there again with my daughter. She is 10. Save the summer vacations for the beaches- warmer weather- Glad you and your family had a ball!

I'm so glad that you and your family had so much fun! I remember going as a kid. We wen in May, but I do remember the lines being pretty long. How cool of a mom are you to take your kids out of school to go to Disney World. You remind them of that when they get to be bratty teenagers and tell you that you're not cool! Haha. :-)

Well, it sounds like you and your family had a real good time. The one time that I went to disneyland was in the middle of may a few years ago and the lines were a bit longer than I would have thought they should be, but I had a good time anyway. It sounds like the best time to go should be in april. Take care!!

Yeah I think by May there are probably already a lot of college students out for the summer so they probably add to the crowds. I know my oldest son (15 yrs old) said while we were there that he can't wait till he's older and will return with college friends. We had a funny conversation about that. I asked "won't you miss all of us? won't you miss your little brothers?" He said "NO". I said "well Disney is expensive. You'll miss out MONEY!" and he laughed and agreed! :)

Thanks for the tip; I have thought about it; I would like to do it next year when my daughter graduates from high school; Since school lets out in May, I guess the crowds won't be so bad.

We went the part of September 2 years ago. My first trip, it was hot and tiring but we loved it. I can not wait to go back. I loved the Soarin! I always wanted to hand glide, now I can do it and not be afraid of heights. We rode that ride several times. The only real problems I had trouble with at Disney world was the moving floors. I guess where I have gained weight things like that scare me. I started to get use to them the last day we were their, LOL.
I pray this weight will be gone by the time I go back maybe I won't be as scared. It is something how weight can mess in every area of your life, isn't it. But anyway I love Disney World.
