how much honesty matter to you

it is said that honesty is the best policy,so what you think about honesty and truth,how much all these matter to you.if any body close to you have done any sin or crime and if he or she accept it in front of you then what you will do .will you forgive her or him and help him/her or support him/her.

Honesty is of great importance to me. I can't abide being lied to. I feel that those who attempt to lie to me insult my intelligence and think they are smarter than I am. The only lies that are in any way tolerable are those that are told to protect the safety and/or feelings of another person.
