Which do you prefer?...Generic or Name Brand?

When you are grocery shopping for food or cleaning household products, do you buy generic or name brand products? For me, I like both. It doesn't really matter...but most of the time I like name brand products for cleaning supplies.

i have to say i like my named brands, as they are my comforts, i like to smell nice i like my clothes to smell nice.
i like to try new thing s on the shelves too - but i indulge myself with my brand names.

There are certain items that I only will use name brand...soaps and lotions (because my skin is very sensitive) and Scottissue (because it lasts longer)!

Well I have to say I only use name brand down to even the medication I have described from a doctor. Especially food it generic just doesn't taste the same for me. And I definitely don't like generic brand cleaning products they just seem like water.

I would have to agree with you about the generic cleaning products. They don't work the same as name brands! But the food, it doesn't really matter to me, just as long as it tastes good, I'm okay with it ^^

I like both, but sometimes it depend on my budget unless it has something to do with my skin. That's when I buy the name brand. My kids have very sensitive skin so I have to be very careful with what i choose.

It depends on the product but most of the time i pick the branded ones. Firstly because it is known and many people use it. In case I'll get a problem with the product I know where to go and who to sue (in a worse case scenario). Branded products are tested product - they usually are expensive but anyway they are usually effective =).

I would prefer name brand. I do believe that the food tastes better and other non-food products work better. Although, from time to time, I'll buy generic cereal because it can sometimes taste better... to me at least. My sister strongly disagrees.

I prefer branded products for one reason, its used to clean things. So for whatever reson im getting those toiletries or detergents I don't want it to harm my skin or whoever is gonna use it inside my house.
