If you receive a text message wrongly, do you inform texter of his/her mistake?

Yes, I usually do even if the message is just a simple Hi or Hello. When I send someone a message it's important for me to get at least a response or feedback. This way I know that my message went through. It eliminates worry and speculation why there is no response. So it's good to response always to a message send to you.

Do you text frequently in Malaysia? or you prefer to call? If you prefer to call, I understand that you don't have time to read your text message.

i always send the message back to the sender. that way, the sender will be informed that his message did not reach the expected recipient.

i've got a postpaid line so load won't be a problem. i just can't help but think that that simple gesture might make a difference in the lives of the sender and the supposed-to be recipient.

That's good. It looks like you have a lot of load because you can still have time to spend a money on that poor texter.

i also inform the texter especially if the number is not on my phone list. i inform them because they might intend to send it to someone and it is important the message gets through. i would also like to be informed if i missent message.

I always do. When I hooked up my cell with a new service provider they 'recycled' my number too quickly and for the first 6 months that it was hooked up I received messages all the time for some girl named Ashley. I also received messages for some stupid SMS chat site that this dumb broad signed up for. I paid my bill thinking that sending emails was more money on top of my data package, but a few months later I finally called my service provider and they told me it's some company that runs a texting chat network and that I'd have to call them to cancel my account. I called them to get my money reimbursed in January and the 6-8 weeks they promised has now run into 15. :( I have I feeling I'll be out my $130.

Yeah, it's possible that the message you get is a way by the person to see if you number is active and will give you spam messages. So it's good to wait a little while before responding.

no just ignore them, and wait until they send me another text telling that they've made a mistake!

Does it meant when you get your load you inform them? What if there is no load issue, will you still do it? or it's just a waste of time and load?

sometimes when i know who send the message, and if i think the message that they are sending is important, i will forward the message back to the sender. But if i dont know the person who sent the message mistakenly to mee, i dont response, or sometime i just ask saying "who are you? or some other kind. Because the sender might know me and changed numbers, and so on.

In my case, it would depend if I have a load or none. I would probably tell the person who sends the message that he send it in a wrong contact. It is for him to be aware that he should correct what he've done. This might be an important message, so we better inform the person about what happened.

Whether the message is important or not, i always return the message back to the sender, to inform them that they sent the message to the wrong person. Or just plainly sent an sms to that person that he/she has the wrong recipient.

Yes, I respond to the one who've been wrong sent because she/he should know that the message was not sending to the right person.

Hello robert!(",) First and foremost, thank you for the comment you had given me! I did appreciate it.(",) Whenever I receive a text message that is unintentionally/intentionally sent wrong, I often resend the message back to the sender. In that way, I'll be able to help the sender and make her/him aware that he/she sent it wrongfully. If ever its intentional and the sender just wanted to have a text mate, I don't respond anymore. I hope that I'm being understood.(",) Thanks again and have a great day!(",)

Sometimes I do, when I'm low on load, I don't. I only inform the person of the mistake when the person is known to me personally, and if the message is really urgent. But if it is just a forwarded message, I find it a waste of load, so I don't. When I mis sent a message, I would know because I usually check "message sent", so there's no problem.
