Well I have downloaded a free Firewall as the Windows one kept turning itself of
I know that Creme had mentioned something about Windows Firewall in her Discussion but I had no problem them it has only been the last 2 Days that when I switched my Computer on it came up that the Firewall was turned of
Has anyone else had that Problem
I have ran all my Security Systems on here and it is telling me there is nothing on here
So I do not understand why this happening
I just hope that now with downloading this one it will be ok

I've never had that happen on mine with the firewall. But sometimes, if the computer has been completely shut down, when I turn it back on a warning will come up that the Internet Security (antivirus) is not on. I think that the Windows program gets a hiccup sometimes and things go haywire for a bit. I really hope the new firewall works for you hon.

I would check and make sure that you don't have a virus or spyware on your system that is shutting off the internal windows firewall. There are lots of good freeware firewalls out there but I would not recommend zonealarm, as it causes more problems than it fixes, especially when/if you decide to uninstall it.
What I was recommend as the best solution however, is just to go purchase a router for your home. Using the router you can set up a network so everyone can access the internet. Better yet it has and is a built in firewall, so you don't have to run a program on your computer and eat up your computers resources and processing cycles. The router will do it for you.

Hi Hon, I know that this happened with my computer as well a while ago now when I used to use internet explorer that is why now for the last 6 months I have been using Mozilla Firefox and this does not disable my firewall and protects my computer more so I hope that this helps you and that you do not have many problems with your computer. xx

I trust you are using a quality firewall such as Zonealarm. Make sure you turn your windows firewall OFF - otherwise there might be conflicts. Then just run the zonealarm as per normal.

I am not sure about that. What I do know is that zonealarm (free) is one of the acknowledged bests for firewalls. I have used it for years.

Fire walls can be a lot of trouble if you have a different security fire wall in your computer. You must get rid of all old programs so that they do not clash. I have had this problem and fixed it by doing that. Good luck sugar.+ for you as aways.

I use PC Tools Firewall Plus 2.0.
I've used this software on a number of home user client machines and find it a simple to manage, effective solution.
One of it's "selling" points that is becoming more important is that it is fully Vista compatible and integrates with Windows Security Center flawlessly.
The companion antivirus solution has "issues" with the vista startup protection but i'm sure if this is resolved in the next release it will be equally as effective.

I prefer Zone alarm. Some softwares will not be able to block the malicious programs.Sometimes it will report that a virus attack found.Check whether it says that an attack has been blocked.
