Does a particular song remind you of someone?

I just heard the song by Johny Cash "I walk the line" blaring out of someones car outside my house in Scotland. This song reminds me of drunken night with a guy I went out with in Canada for a month or two. We used to have such fun falling about his room steaming drunk to Johny Cash. It is good that I have such fond memories assosciatede with this song as they guy was actually a bit of a pr*ck. Lol. it's amazing how much more of a great time you can have when you are drunk. The other song that has great memories is someone elses version of the Smiths song (you know the one that goes, if a ten tonne truck, kills the both of us, tonight by your side, the pleasure and the privledge is mine)..... this one reminds me of being steaming drunk with my best friend listening to this at his house. I think we have listened to this many times and imagine this is the way love should be...the thing this guy is singing about. Phew....I sound like just one big drunk....I promise I am not drunk now...hic!!

There are several songs, one is My Wish by Rascal Flatts, reminds me of my daughters one is 25 the other is 18, and really makes me think of the youngest as she gets ready to graduate high school. Another is My Sister by Reba McIntyre, I even made a copy and gave it to my big sister, we live 1600 miles away from each other, and that whole song is soooo us! lol And I'd Rather Ride Around with You, another Reba song, makes me think of my guy and when we are riding on his motorcyle.

Ahh another person from scotland, i like johnny cash hurt it remembers me of my grandfather. We are like chalk and cheese and he has always been the most influential person in my life. I also like Ronan Keating if tommorow never comes, well basically i am a big sap for love songs but i also like Rap and Dance. When i was younger i used to be more into things such as pink floyd and happy hardcore. I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hold The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know goes away In the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else I am still right here [Chorus:] What have I become My ssweetest friend Everyone I know goes away In the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way

Oh yes I have many songs like this. Mostly, Nights in White Satin by Moody Blues reminds me of when I had to sneak around to visit my fiancee because my mother would have never let me out of her house alive if she knew we were together. We always wanted to buy satin sheets to make love in, but never actually could commit the 50 or 60 bucks for them! Then, Red House, by Jimi Hendrix reminds me of him as well, because the first time I heard that song it was 94 1/2 days since I had saw my fiancee, and Jimi says 99 1/2 days. Then there are others, but I won't bore you, hun!

i can't listen to music that i used to listen a few years ago. for some reason every song reminds me of something, or someone. i remember situations of what i was doing, or who i was with every time i hear a song. it sometimes makes me really depressed listning to music. there is one song that i can think of right off the top of my head though that reminds me of an ex. it was great big sea, how did we get from saying i love you to i'll see you around some day. i first heard that after we broke up and i remember crying and thinking it's so true.

Sometimes I can find so much meaning in song lyrics too when I am sad. I think that every song was written with my heartache in mind.

Okay here it goes: "Because you loved me" by Celine Dion makes me think of my dad. This is actually our song. And, "In my daughters Eyes" by Martina McBride makes me think about my daughter. It is a very beautiful song.

There is a Bob Marley song that brings me back to an old boyfriend that also had only a single bed. He was a bit of a pr*ck, too, but it's amazing sometimes how a song that is a bit sentimental can convince you otherwise. There is also a Minor Threat song that reminds me of a whoel era of my life and all the people it encompassed. We only walked where the bricks were made of gold.

Haha. Yes I often hear a song and it will remind of someone or something. Sometimes will just make me feel nostalgic. Like I hear the Groovie Ghoulies and I think of this one summer driving around having fun... Of course nobody knows who the hell I'm talking about but thats ok.

I know any Def Leppard song reminds me of my husband and when we were first dating. Everytime I hear them, I think of how much fun we had and how much fun first time love is. I also remember taking him to their concert and how I promised him that I would take him to their concert. Every time I hear Queensryche Silent Lucidity, I think of my best friend and how I haven't talked to her in a very long time and how much I miss her.

When I heard the song(I will marry you tomorrow),I will miss those days with my former bf. We met in a quite hot afternoon in our campus. We both like to play table tennis, so almost every afternoon we would go to the club of table tennis. When we played table tennis, the club often played a song called 'I will marry you tomorrow'. And he asked me to marry him tomorrow. I was very happy after his words. I feel very happy in those days, then we graduated together, and worked in different cities. He promised to take me to his city when he was leaving, but at last I said goodbye to him because that I was no longer love him, perhaps I didnt love him at all. We are too young to know what is true love. But it is a pretty memory to recall. And I hope he could find his true love. Sometimes I will miss him and want to know whether he is good.

Lots of songs remind me of people. Taylor Swift's "Our Song" reminds me of the guy I was in love with when I was 14. Her song "Picture to Burn" reminds me of a guy I liked recently.
