is it more enjoyable to live in an ancient house?

Hello :) I now live in a small apartment but I grew up in a large victorian style home with three floors. It had 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a full dining room, a rec. room, and an office. I miss that house. I loved the high ceilings and the carved moldings/baseboards. I think I would like to someday live in a country style home or one like I grew up in. Although I don't really mind apartment living, I want to have a place that really is my OWN home.
